BRIEF EXPLANATION ABOUT WHALESHARES
Whaleshares is an amazing project developed by @officialfuzzy; that helps newbies, minnows and good authors get upvotes from whales in the Steemit and Golos communities. It’s a token backed by steempower to give users the ability to get a whale upvote in their desired quality post.

This allows people to quickly build their steempower as well as increase their payouts while simultaneously giving whales incentive to hold their steempower.

**HOW TO GET STARTED
You will need a BitShares account to receive, hold, and send WhaleShare tokens. You can create a BitShares account at any of the exchanges Bitshares Exchanges or Rudex Exchange . Once you create an account, you can use any of the exchanges.

HOW TO GET WHALESHARES TOKEN

You can get WhaleShare token by;

• Attending community events and entering contests. The best way to find these events and contests is to join the WhaleShares Discord channel
• Joining and participating in the Whaleshares Shout out Show organized by @airhawk-project every Mondays and Fridays.
• Also If you are new to the Whaleshares Community, you can often find someone in the Discord channel that will get you started with a few Whaleshares if you introduce yourself and say you are new.

HOW TO TRADE YOUR WHALESHARES TOKEN FOR WHALE UPVOTE

For the purpose of this, I will use one of my post to show how to use whaleshares to get a whale upvote

1. Copy the link of the post you need a whale upvote
   

1. After copying the Link, go to www.whaleshares.net
   

Scroll down and Paste the link you copied on Enter Url as shown below and click Go

1. After clicking on Go, a link will be generated under Next Step with url starting with 'U'. Copy everything in the link box including the U
   

1. Open your Bitshares wallet and login
   

1. After logging in successful, click on the 3 horizontal lines
   

1. Click on Send (legacy)
   

1. Input the account of the whale you need upvote from. For the purpose of this I will use whaleshares.
   
   Please make sure you send to whaleshares not whaleshare. I made a mistake yesterday while I was trying this out, I sent to whaleshare instead of whaleshares.

After waiting for so long without getting and upvote from @officialfuzzy I had to complain in Whaleshares Discord Channel, then I was told I made a mistake in the spelling. I was lucky enough to get reimbursed of my lost whaleshare token by @bushkill.

1. Input the quantity of whaleshares you want to use for the upvote. I will use 3 whaleshare for this.
   

Paste the link you copied from whaleshares.net into the Memo/message box and click send.

You will see a confirmation of transaction under the recent activity

1. 
   Within few minutes you will receive an upvote from @officialfuzzy.

I got 3% upvote from @officialfuzzy for the 3 whaleshare I sent to him.

**Please note: **

• One (1) whaleshare token is equivalent to 1% upvote
• You can only use it on a post of 1 – 5 days

1. You can check the value of upvotes you get on Steempayout Checker
   developed by one of the best programmers in Nigeria @akintunde

your post was insightful but i have a question;

According to what you said, you get a whale upvote proportional to the amount of whaleshare you use.

so if you use 3 whaleshare, you get 3 percent upvote.

1. does that means you could get a higher or lower upvote value depending on the whale you choose?

2. How many whales are subject to this whaleshare? And would they actually vote if you donate the whaleshare even if your post deserves it or not?

1. Yes you can get a higher upvote depending on the quantity of whaleshare you send. The maximum quantity of whaleshare token to send is 100 because One (1) whaleshare token is equivalent to 1% upvote, so you get 100% upvote for 100 whaleshare

1. To the best of my knowledge, there are only 3 whales doing the upvote who accept different token for upvote like:

• Whale: @officialfuzzy with 89.35% Power, 14.7k SP (30.4m vests) accepts Whaleshare token for upvote or downvote

• Whale: @hairshares with 99.12% Power, 9.5k SP (19.6m vests) accepts Hairshare token for upvote or downvote

• Whale: @fuzzyvest with 93.12% Power, 303.7k SP (628.7m vests) accepts Beyondbit token for upvote or downvote

And would they actually vote if you donate the whaleshare even if your post deserves it or not?

Yes they will since you pay for it but never use cheetah commented post

You can only use WHALESHARE tokens for upvotes.@jo5h sorry for not getting your upvote instantly. The reason behind the delayed upvote is because you sent bts to whaleshares.
