We all know the feeling when your nails are getting chappy in the winter, you do one simple task, and BAM: nail got broken. Usually, this also happens in kind of the middle of the nail, so cutting it is out of the question. But, luckily, most of us have got a few tea-bags.
So for this nail-saver, you'll need: a piece of a tea-bag, scissors, base- and top coat, nail file, nail polish of choice and optionally a nail polish drying drops to dry them faster. Really a lifesaver when you're in a rush!
First, start with the base coat. This will not only keep the tea bag in place, but also your nail polish will stay on longer, and you are less likely to get yellow discoloration on your nails over time.
Cut out a small piece of the tea bag and place it nicely on the nail. You can also apply a little more of the base coat on top of the tea bag, and even out the edges with a nail file.
Approximately 5 minutes after applying the base coat, you can apply the nail polish. I usually try one layer first, if it gets patchy i put one more.
The last step is the top coat. The nail polish should be somewhat dry when applying the top coat so it won't get streaky. I also like to apply these quick-drying drops from KIKO, so you don't have to wit so long before doing other stuff. The nail polishes are from Make Up Store, so all the products used are cruelty-free!
Hope this was helpful to someone, and that you are enjoying this day!
