I love the direction that today's installment took. As a horror fan as well as a Sci-Fi fan one of my favorite examples of the microscopic machines to work in aiding our health and healing was the film Jason X. While many Friday the 13th fans hated the film I liked many elements of it because it pulled in sci-fi by sending killer Jason Voorhees into space. Anyway, in the film he is in a major fight scene, losing limbs and taking a beating. He is then launched backwards onto a medical table and left for dead. Instead though an army of small medical robots named ANTS scurried out and begin enveloping his body and repairing all of the damage. At the same time they essentially make him a Six-Million-Dollar Man like cyborg which would come to be known as Uber-Jason.
I do like how Kurzweil's predictions are already coming into existence. He like Roddenberry and Rod Serling have a knack for predicting or even inspiring the future.
