All three contestants got the final Jeopardy question wrong and the final score was $6,799, $5, and $6,799 leading to the first-ever Tie-Breaker question.

Liked ur article an building a portable game console
What amount can the winner take home? Even above $7k?
If you win a such a show in Holland you sometimes go home with less than $1k 😥😂
Most game shows you don't really get much considering you're on prime time TV. The network makes all the money.

I can`t believe that has never happened before in all the history of jeopardy. I had such a hard time believe it I had to run to trusty 'ol google and double check and turns out it has happened before
That was a teen tournament and not the official Jeopardy show. From what I read it has never happened to the main show and last night was the first.
Oh you could be right then, I'm no damn expert, I mean statistically I figured it must have happened before. In my googling it also said the show has been on for 32 years. So maybe it happened so long ago there wasn't even TVs...lol.
Damn. How about that? It's amazing that it's never happened before.
Thanks for a little bit of history today :) For the record, I got the final answer wrong and the tie breaker right...
I was watching with my wife and was like wtf? Then they jumped into the tiebreaker, didn't explain the rules or anything so I thought maybe they'd wager again. Nope, buzzed in and game over. You gotta warn me for that shit Alex!
I thought the same thing. I was expecting another wager and question and music but nope... what the hell alex!!

LOL. I saw this earlier today, was definetly interesting how the math worked out because I'm not sure the betting strategy made sense. I remember thinking was this really the only time it happend? Technically its not. There have been ties before where all the contestants that tied moved on. Also in a tournament setting there was a tie once and they used a tiebreaker question similar to the one in the above video. I was surprised the title said first ever, but I guess it meant "First Tiebreaker question in Regular Play" since they changed the rules.
I am not a Jeopardy fan, my mother used to be. Everything I read says it was the first-ever tiebreaker except sideshows like the Teen Tournament.
