LOVE BY THE BANK OF THE SEA- WRITER'S BLOCK POETRY CONTEST WEEK 5

All I find is love in the depths of a shattered soul,
All I find is love wrapped around you from head to toe,
You're surrounded by people but the silence is loud,
You're alone, but a solace in you I've found.

All I see is beauty in the soul of a shattered heart,
All I find is love in the arms of a living scar,
Spirit and heart, body and soul,
I find traces of an ancient glow.

My hair dances to the tune of the breeze,
While i take in the air of the open sea,
My soul takes rest, my heart at peace,
I hope that my caged spirit breaks out free.

Waters so clear, speaking through waves,
Sand under my feet, sharp as the days,
I lie by the bank, anxious i wait,
Till the waves come and wash my pain.
