RE: Congrats to @foxfiction for winning the May 9 Twenty-four Short story contest--plus other additional winners

Yes. He is a solid writer.

I like to spread the love out sometimes for rewards, @dirge has earned some Steem rewards in past weeks of this contest, and @foxfiction was new to the contest, and I thoroughly enjoyed that post as well. So I am trying to encourage new people to be here as well.

I will be there for the next one as well. The responses I got is worth so much more. I almost cried when one of them commented, who said it felt "real" by the words. That's the most beautiful response that I've ever witnessed.

That's awesome. The point of the contest was not only to spread some Steem rewards around, but to meet other writers. And in the mist of it all, there has developed a small community of writers which is great.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm happy to simply just participate, regardless of rewards/winnings. These contests are great. Anything that gets people reading/writing! There's a lot of great writers on Steemit and these contest help build a community. @mctiller gets to host and reward his contests however he wants to and I'm happy just to participate.
