I for one am very glad you've started doing this weekly contest. The extra day does give me some extra time, also because we're in a different time zone, and I often only see the prompt hours after you've posted it, even though I look for them.
It has had some interesting impacts on my budding life as a writer. I know now that Monday-Tuesday I'll be writing a short story and I'll post it on Tuesday. No matter what other things might come up. I think I only missed one week so far, since I knew about your contest, due to being severely ill.
I'm glad @curie and @randomwanderings have supported you, I hope they'll continue doing so. This contest is really a gem on steemit. Thank you for all your efforts, @mctiller!
