1 Be Authentic :
The more authentic you sound, you look and you act the more followers you will again. Do write an authentic bio mentioning who you are, your expertise and your experience. Use a genuine picture, you can be creative in the cover photo.
2 Be Topical
Talk & Tweet topical content. Follow twitter trends and google trends to strategize your twitter content plan. Share what is happening now. Don't live in the past. The world is changing in a blink of an eye.
3 Be Informative
People tend to follow who provide value addition to information. Always make sure you cross-checking what you are posting. This will help you in earning social currency of faith in the virtual world. It is priceless.
4 Be Engaging
Twitter is all about engagement. If you know the art, half the battle is won, if not learn from twitter peers. Follow them and see what works. Chip in tweet chats, reply to tweets and quote other tweets with your point of view. Mosy importantly, find your voice as there is too much of noises on virtual world.
5 Be Proactive
Have to admit, Twitter demands proactiveness. It is always moving. You have to be agile on your feet to keep the match. Think of the content in advance. Divide weekdays into the different theme of your interest and share the content accordingly.
6 Be Visual
Picture Speaks. Use pics, GIFs and short videos. This will your timeline alluring and it will invite eyeballs. Give them a reason to follow you.
7 Be Vocal.
Tell the world you are on Twitter. Give a shout out in the email signature, in your meetings, and on your other social media channels, like Facebook & LinkedIn.
