I purchased the Iotex UCam a few months back and today 9/11 it arrived. The box it is packaged in is very thick and sturdy. It is like a collector's box. I love the stickers as well. And including not 1, but 2 pieces of the same material the box is made from, where you can write down your keys. I wrote my first one in pen and wished I had used pencil. Then saw that there was a second one.
Then it was extremely easy to set up. It even downloaded the newest firmware right away without my requesting it.
After setup I brought my phone downstairs and went back up and spent some time in my room. After a few minutes of goofing off, I went back down to check my phone. Sure enough, perfect short clips showing me what I did in my room.
I do not have a SD card in it yet and only have the free cloud service which is Rolling 3 hrs of 10 second clips. It is plenty of time and space if you just need to see who passed near it. But if you would like longer recordings you can upgrade with 3 upgrade choices. They are:
For 1.99$/month or 19.99$/year
Rolling 7 days of event video history with 30 second event video recording
For 3.99$/month or 39.99$/year it's the same but for 14 days instead of 7.
For 6.99$/month or 69.99$/ year it's the same but for 30 days.
For now the free service is suffice. But if you wanted more, the prices are reasonable. Now I haven't messed with the memory card thing yet. I am not even sure where it goes. But when I am ready to add one, I'll look into it.
Anywho, that is my opinion on the product. This is my first time buying this type of camera, so I have nothing to compare it to. It has a time delay but records in 1080. I guess when I use it more then I'll update my review.
