I think this is the second article I'm writing about the undisputed king of the f*ck ups. Mr. road rage himself, Jon Jones.
Every die hard MMA fan knows that Jon Jones appeared at a scheduled CSAC hearing, where he was fined 200k USD and had his license revoked. But what most people aren't talking about is the self incriminating answers that he gave during the hearing. He, nor his lawyer was not prepared for the bombshell that flanked him. Commissioner Martha Shen-Urquidez, a former attorney and court-appointed arbitrator asked the right questions, and Jones answered them like a canary.
During the hearing, Commissioner Shen-Urquidez, was able bait and switch Jones to admit he failed to report 10 supplements to United States Anti-Doping Agency prior to UFC 214, despite the fact that he signed an agreement that said he did. He only disclosed the supplements existence, when they were sent to be tested for performance enhancing drugs (PEDs).
Jones also admitted he never watched mandatory videos provided by USADA. He actually had his team of lawyers watch it and passed it off as he did watch them.
As much as I'm a big fan of Jon Jones and his fights, how much can a guy f*ck up and not be held accountable for his actions. Now his fate lies in USADAs hands, where we will see how long he really sits out. Will he get a 4 year ban? Or another slap on the wrist, like the first 2 times he screwed up.
The whole hearing seemed like a fuck up, I didn't sit through it all but watching the highlights was fun. That old guy coming to a hearing and forgetting his hearing aid was like something out of a sitcom. Then going on about Stephen A Smith.
I was hoping he'd say "stay off the daaaaaaammn weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!"
I can't believe anything Jones says anymore. He's so full of it. I think everything happened to fast for him at an early age, and now he's crashing and burning, on whatever he's smoking at the time.
Yeah I have given up on Jones a long time ago, used to be a huge supporter of his. Remember when he won the title against Shogun and he chased down a mugger the night before the fight? Crazy how different he became.
The magical properties of steroids will do that to you.
He is still young, could make a tons of money and be the all time best ever even among heavyweights too,but instead, he acts like an unresponsible wild teenager. For me,Daniel Cormier is rather a role model of a champion!
When he's not on the juice he looks really flat. The OSP fight is a fight where he wasn't on the juice. If he does get a 4 year suspension, then he won't see action in the ring until his mid to late 30s. At that age most fighters will see a decline in their careers.
Will he get a 4 year suspension for repeated PED offender? We shall see.
