A war in Europe, a war that is directed against our democracy and a war that is as unnecessary as any other.

Ukraine has issued a Banksy stamp to mark the first anniversary of the Russian invasion. It shows a motif left by the world-famous British street artist on a wall in the heavily destroyed Ukrainian village of Borodyanka near Kiev. It shows a child defeating a large and seemingly overpowering judoka.

The big man in the graffiti is apparently supposed to be Russian President Vladimir Putin, who likes to boast about his black belt and show off in a judo suit. The child in turn, also wearing a judo suit, obviously symbolises Ukraine.

But that also means that each of us can contribute our small share so that the people in Ukraine are better off, so that this war comes to an end.

The Ukrainians have shown amazing strength in the face of this bullying. I went there a couple of times and it's a beautiful place with friendly people.
I would just say that they prefer the Kyiv spelling and I suggest you don't link to the Express as it's a shitty excuse for a newspaper in my opinion.
Hey @steevc I don’t have a clue about the shitty newspaper but I found the pics there and I try to stay safe by showing the source. There might be other or better sources.
