Silent blog from war zone: happy moment

in #ukraine3 years ago

Hi, guys!

I haven't been on the blogs for a few days because we decided to go home for a few days. The road was much calmer than the first time we left the occupation. Our dog still terribly touched the military at checkpoints. At one she even said "woof", then I quickly pulled her to me and said the strangest phrase that you can think of, given the good nature and size of my dog:

  • "Don't be afraid, I'm holding her!"

I don't think the guys at the checkpoint have laughed like that in a long time.

All this time I have missed my home very much and I am very glad to be in it at least for a few days. At first I thought that there were no air raid alerts, but how wrong I was. Where we live in another city, the speaker is very close to the house, so the siren is always very well heard. And her sound is different, not the same as here. There, the siren literally makes a hole in the head, such a nasty sound.

Everything is different here. It is very windy here, my area was built after the Chernobyl accident, and it was specially built so that the wind always walked between the houses. And in this wind, which usually calmed and lulled me, the sound of an air raid siren is woven. At some distance, not too loud, but itself similar to the sounds of a cold wind and therefore very disturbing.

I cut my dog like I planned. Yes, she looks extremely dangerous :) In a day we will return back, and I hope that I will have new emotions and strength for normal work.
