The world's media ignores the daily reports from the OSCE which detail the number of ceasefire violations every day.

In Donetsk on 23-24 February OSCE obersvers recorded about 150 explosions while in Lugansk they recorded 780 explosions!

To be honest I am very pessimistic about the prospects for peace. The Neo-Cons in the Whitehouse/Pentagon clearly have not given up on their goal of destabilizing Russia. The authorisation for sending heavy weaponry, such as anti-tank weapons, is an indication of how they are thinking.

The U.S. and the EU will carry on giving money to the Kiev junta s long as it serves their cold war against Russia.
The only thing that could halt the conflict is a crash of the global economy which is coming in the next year. When the financial system comes crashing down again the Kiev junta will hopefully be overthrown by its desperate citizens who will then bring an end to the war.
Never mind the fact that the American war machine will be severely impaired by its governments gigantic debt problems which could lead to massive upheavals in the U.S. itself. The Neo-Cons do not realise that its military is paid for by unsustainable debts owed to the rest of the world. When the petro dollar system is downgraded and replaced in the East by the petro-Yuan then the U.S. war machine and its puppets in Kiev will be be greatly weakened. After all, as Lenin once said (sorry for the terrible paraphrasing) Finance is the sinews of war.

Thanks for the excellent reporting Patrick. Its quite apparent that the US media refuses to report from the breakaway regions of Ukraine, and thus are complicit in the bloodshed that is occurring there.
