Mi día ulog # 17: How to grow a melon plant.

So that our children can learn the great value of nature, love it, take care of it and respect it; it is necessary that they approach it, feel it, experience it and above all enjoy it.

In this blog I want to share with you an activity that my son Carlos and I did, in this opportunity he learned to plant a melon plant. Below I inform you what are the materials and step by step:

Materials used: A pot, fertilizer, melon seeds, a spoon and water.

Step by Step for planting a Melon plant:

1. Compost to fertilized sand must be placed inside the container

2. The melon seed is added

3. With a spoon the melon seed is added to the fertilizer or fertilized soil.

4. Finally the water must be added. The waiting time for plant growth is 3 to 4 days. Here I present our melon plant in full growth. Soon we can enjoy some delicious melons.

"Let our children manipulate the earth, make a hole in the earth, place a tender seed, water them with water so that they can then contemplate how the trees that once were planted by them grow. It will be a small project that will fill them with enthusiasm and teach them the value of respect for nature".
