Hello friends, today I want to share with you my visit to Colonia Tovar, a town in Venezuela, capital of Tovar municipality, in the state of Aragua. Founded in 1843 by a group of German immigrants from the then independent state of Baden (later incorporated into Germany).
It is famous for its culture, its temperate climate and the warmth of its people. It depends basically on agriculture, among its crops stand out: Peaches, strawberries, beets, cauliflower, carrots, cabbage, chard, broccoli, lettuce, chives and potatoes. It has a very varied German cuisine, its main dish being the different types of sausages such as sausages.
A visit to Colonia Tovar, not only gives us a recreation in our view for its beautiful landscapes, its privileged climate with an annual average of 16ºC, given by the height of around 1,800 meters above sea level, but also for its excellent restaurants, where we can savor the exquisite dishes of the German cuisine, accompanying them with an excellent craft beer produced in the own colony and savoring their sweets, jams and the typical strawberries with cream.
We can also visit its beautiful church, museum, buy your typical crafts and stay in comfortable and varied hotels, cabins, inns and motels, at reasonable prices and within reach of satisfied visitors.
Colonia Tovar offers a lot of tranquility, it is ideal to rest and not have pressures. It is characterized for being a German town in Venezuela.
