RE: Ulog #1: My mother's day gift to my beloved mother.

Beautiful portrait of your mother, @badzkie123. You are your mother's pride and joy (along with your other siblings), and I can just imagine the feelings she had whilst listening to you and watching you deliver your speech on your graduation day. That must be either valedictory or salutatory address. I'm sure you will continue to make your mama proud.

You are also very blessed with gifted and talented hands. You were able to depict your mother's simplicity and beauty with this portrait. Her eyes reflect the joy that any ideal mother has despite the hardship of raising her children up, ensuring that all of them are physically and emotionally nurtured and nourished.

I'm sure your mother appreciated your gift. Your dedication, time and effort combined with your innate artistic talent cannot be measured by monetary terms. It is priceless and very special!

This part of your response made me emotional

Raising children in hardship is not that easy. I can only imagine the nights of tears and a pretense of a joyful heart in the morning because crying before the children will make the children feel hopeless.

All hail the wonderful mothers in the world who do everything to make their children have a better life.

Where there are mothers who neglect and abandon their children, there are those who are so sacrificing that they deny their own pleasures to be able to provide for the needs of their children. So, yes, I agree with you, @inspiredgideon1:

All hail the wonderful mothers in the world who do everything to make their children have a better life.

Where there are mothers who neglect and abandon their children

Very true, not that you said it but have seen it. Some mothers go as far as to dump their babies some where because they can't afford to take care of the baby as a single mother and I wonder if they really went through the delivery pains of other mothers.

Yeah, and while others are longing and yearning to have a child of their own, there are those who just dump and abandon those babies, some even wilfully cause harm to their own children.

That's why when I read stories like this, like @badzkie123's mother's love for them and how he loves and honours his mother through his priceless gift, I find myself deeply affected and I wish that all children were blessed to have such wonderful mothers by their side all their lives. Children need their mother's tender love and care all throughout their lives.

A mother's love is powerful, I can testify to that because I have enjoyed this great love from my mum and might say that my success is tied to my mum. And few days back there was a desire to see her face again. I have being away from home since a year and two months and longed to see my mother's face again. So I told my kid brother to take a snap shot and send to me on whatsapp but am yet to receive that picture from him.

But then there are those who never enjoyed this love and these are those in the orphanages. On the first of this month, I visited an orphanage and almost wept because these children got the bad side of life.

I love both of you! Look at you two killin it here!
