#DeleteFacebook#JoinSteemit#
I have learned a lot in life and procrastination has taught how distractions can takes you back a million steps. Facebook is one of these enticing distractions that you can actually do away with even if you are using it for business.
I just woke up today and thought; what the heck, I can clean some social cobwebs in my life and start a fresh. Today, I opened my Facebook account and realized there is a permanent delete function that is under-utilized. Well, it is under-utilized because not many people are bold enough to use it.
So, I just hit the “delete My Account “ button and the funny thing is, these guys thought am not serious and prompted me to enter my password! On top of that, they are prompting me with a capture to enter!
As if that is not enough, the guys at Facebook hit me with a code to enter to confirm that am serious about my decision. Well, I do not think it should be that hard or them to delete the account on request; come on, am the user here.
So why it is hard for me to be let go? I guess I have been adding value to their network and this makes them feel sad! It has been four hours now and am sure they are watching my account for any activity that am getting back!
Am a drop in the ocean and I need a system that is two way; we share the spoils and that is what Steemit does. It could be peanuts for an upvote but my likes on Facebook for the last 11 years are enough to turn me to a millionaire. So, who has been taking my participation profits home?
Well your guess is as good as mine; I have decided to stay faceless and work on my Steemit account and see how it goes. I have lost over 11 years just talking to strangers, wishing them well and by the end of the day, I have nothing to show!
Well, am done with Facebook and set my eyes on Steemit, a platform that gives you freedom to earn and help others earn; Will you join me? You do not have to answer this but if you have been using Facebook for some time, you need to wake up and smell the coffee.
Let Facebook wait for the next 14 days and still am not turning back!
Wow...deleting your account with face book is such a bold move. However, you are right, FB can really waste someone's time. I still have an account but I only log in once in 3 days just to check if there is any important message.Otherwise if am online I rather be here on steemit. Good-luck bro :)
Its really annoying sometimes and it tempts you all the time!
Thank for sharing
