Hi my Steemit friends. Its saturday once more .First, school days is finally over , my kids have their final exam yesterday .Today, my son woke up early to go to school for the Intrams. He was tasked to be the arbiter for the chess players .
I, on the other hand have to opened our store , Around 11am , I accompanied my husband for his routine check up of his liver. Praise God, he is progressing well although still need to monitor his liver every 6 months . I thank God for providing us a good doctor.
Around noontime , my youngest daughter texted me that she has to go to school , she was the representative of their class for the Word factory category . I didnt know that the contest was today because it has been moved a couple of times already . I apologized to her as she was asking me to play with her last night but i declined as I was so sleepy and tired. She just laughed and accepted my apology.
At 12:45p.m. I received a text from her that the game is about to start and she is asking for prayers.
At 1:45p.m. A message from her telling me that she won the first game and that she is also worried because she will be pitted against the champion last year. After a few minutes , she made it to the championship round . I uttered a prayer of thanks to the Lord
At 3 p.m. another text from her telling me she lost . I told her its ok because its her first time to join and the important thing is she made it to the final round .
I was still texting her when she showed up in front me at the store .I was ready to comfort her when Lo and behold ! she gave me her medal ! She was hailed the champion in the girls category .She was just playing with me when she said she lost 😉
I told her I will treat her for her winning but she declined because she was tired so I just went out and bought her fave foods and drinks and also for her sister .
When I got home she has many tales to tell about the events and we had some good laughs.
Im grateful to the Lord for guiding my child in her competition and for giving us this pleasure. She has been practicing for this competition for almost 2 months .thank God her persistence and constant practice paved way for her getting the gold . All Glory to God
