World Community Grid" and being rewarded with byteballs. As an update to that little project, I have turned off my Monero mining on this PC (A pretty average Core I5 with no GPU) and pushed it pretty hard on the WCG link. As a result, My byteball payment increased nicely. Here are the results:In my last #ulog I mentioned running my computer on the "

$0.11 per day in Byteballs is ok, works out to be $40.15 per year (USD equivalent). Not going to get rich, but that is at current prices, which I think most of us would expect to rise at some stage. Just another Idea to grind out a few crypto's for those of us without funds to invest. If you link up a few devices, or have a better PC you could make more. I personally would use GPU's to mine (if I had any decent ones at the moment) and let the CPU research cancer and earn Bytballs. I will quote my previous post
on the process of how to set it up for those that may not have read it.

There is a bot on there that lets you link your Bytball wallet to a World Community Grid (WCG) account. WCG is a distributed computing project set up by IBM to allow people to link their computer into the WCG grid and assist with research projects (as I understand it). Linking it all up is a bit hinky, it took me a couple of weeks to figure out what I was doing wrong. You have to change your username with WCG to one specified by Btyeballs, and also in your WCG settings change the default option to "Display my data". Once I figured this out, I started receiving a daily MB reward. There are lots of settings to play around with regarding how much computing power you share and so on.

Interesting to note that this amount of Byteballs earned is a little bit more than what the PC was making mining Monero. I have another computer still on that, but something to think about for the miners out there.

Still playing around with @steemhunt. It's cool, seeing lots of interesting and futuristic products. I haven't posted a hunt yet but maybe I will one day, not sure.

It's nearly the weekend, and its my weekend off work - yay. Even better, its meant to rain where I live and we haven't had any decent rain for a couple months. We are coastal, and not really affected by the drought affecting a huge part of Australia, but hopefully the dry spell is over. It took me about 1 1/2 hours this morning to fill up our two green waste bins and there is soooooo much more to do. Lots of gardening ahead over the coming months.

#hayrunners post by @mrsquiggleclick this link so all you Silver Stackers get on board.Gonna put a link here to a #teamaustralia fundraising effort to help drought affected farmers. Its just been set up, but feel free to click through and see whats happening: . Also, as part of this effort, there is a raffle of a 2018 STEEM Silver Round being run by @bmj -

Gotta get ready for work soon, happy steeming to you all.

Have a Great day,

John.

Hi @bearone. Thanks for stopping by my posts. I'm delighted to be able to support the #hayrunners fundraiser. Going to aim for a couple of posts a week with the tag and liquid payout going to the cause. I appreciate your support.
