On Sunday afternoon, I suddenly got the opportunity to participate in Daniel’s Coffee’s second anniversary. The exact anniversary date is on June 13, but they decided to make a whole week anniversary starting from June 11 to June 15. I was looking forward on Monday which will be, and was, a very satisfying day. I started off my day by making tomato puree for my thesis and went to the lab to make the culture media for Phalaenopsis. That part was very much uneventful.
Then I had lunch with @mangjustin and @triciaperea at Itsumo talking about our failure to acquire any subjects for the midsemester; @triciaperea ‘s struggle on deciding if whether the 2 units that she got is worth it or not; and @mangjustin ‘s apparent failure on one certain examination.
We took a little detour to the Engineering Science department so that @triciaperea could try to acquire additional units for the midsemester but apparently, the professor she was looking for wasn’t there, so we ended up going to her apartment next to drop off some of her belongings.
After that, we took the long ride to Parian which was assigned as the waiting area for those going to Daniel’s. Sadly though, both Justin and Tricia were not (yet) participating in the anniversary that day and were in Parian for other matters. I was with Bro Greg though, and I copied some music from his phone while we waited.
The time then came to get in the van for the trip. We were in the very back which was very spacious and comfortable. It was raining all along the ride, and there was some heavy traffic at first, and then I dozed off sometime along the way.
We arrived at the UNTV Studios after approximately 3 hours and saw Marinel who was waiting for us for hours near the studio. There were Guest Coordinators to welcome us at the entrance. There were still a few minutes before the program so hey first took our orders then we got to see some parts of the studio such as some of the sets and this green screen set up which took us forever to find where the camera was (which, as it turned out was directly in front of us, but it was just too dark to see).
The program started with the MCs and their open mic opening. There was no band around, but they searched karaoke music on Youtube. I sang too, by the way, but it was rather unexpected and happened just because the guy who was supposedly the original performer was having a hard time nailing the high notes of “Malaya”. We got our orders, which included a variety of cakes and chocolate or coffee beverages so that we can have a taste of each. The night was filled with singing and dancing and cheering, which all seemed to be cut short when 10 pm came and it was time to go.
The way home felt faster and I got home at about 11pm. It was my first visit at Daniel’s and it was unforgettable. Despite the rain and the weariness, we really enjoyed the event and I hope I can come back as soon as possible.
Stay awesome!

What an interesting day! I wish I was able to go to Daniel's too. And oh, just the smell of studios, I love them. You sure had great company with you. Regards to Bro Greg :)
