My aunts went to Cabugao, Ilocos Sur for a charity program and bought a small container full of pickled bettle palm fruit or bua. It is soaked in sukang iloco or sugar cane vinegar.
The last time I ate this was when I was a kid. My grandma used to pickle jars and jars of this before but then our palm tree was cut down to make a drive way at our family house. Eating this is nostalgic. I was expecting it to be a little sour but this one is sweet. I was trying to savor every piece because there's only one small container for everyone to share.
