How to Go There?
Tourists can spot the place by negotiating rental vehicles. Price is according to the agreement, but it shouldn't exceed 19.24 $ back and forth. As I said above, from Butuan city going there is within 1 and 25 minutes and indeed, we can feel the spirit of a true adventure because the pathways are crooked, uncemented.
Our Experiences
Before the scheduled day to relax, my family prepared lots of foods which Lechon baboy is the major traditional dish. Everyone was excited according to what views we saw on Facebook of the resort.
When we arrived, the beach has the typical kind of scenery in a gray sandbar. Glad that it was clean. Then, the staff met us with the wooden cart to load our baggage going to the two cottages we booked online for 50$. Then, the crew toured us to the cottages and I was stunned by the houses made by fully furnished bamboo trees. It was very native. Floors are clean.
It makes us feel like we're on the farm surrounded by bushes. The bamboo cottages face the beach which we can see the people swimming and the sunrise at the top of the water during midday. It is enclosed by the beautiful flowers and coconut trees that add the fresh breath of the air.

When we finally stepped up through the bamboo stairs going to the rooms, my enthusiasm was there imagining that I am in the woods girdled by the good melody of the birds and the aroma of the fresh bushes. The yard is not fully cemented but clean and green. In the picture above is the first bamboo house.
It has only one huge room but applicable for 6 people because it has the double deck. Two people can lay on the clean and well-furnished floor. It was my mother, grandpa, grandma, little sister, and the younger sister who occupied it. If the coconut produces fruits, we can positively get it because of their short heights.
We will never be upset where to throw our craps as they provide the huge garbage bins in the yard that is put on the wooden fence which is very eco-friendly. It is their idea to avoid bumping it off because owners have many dogs.
Each bamboo house has each own shower and bathroom surrounded by flowers and trees. A shower is separated from the bathroom.
Clean room lamps are covered by rattan shading that adds a native ornament.
Each room has the heater in case we need coffee and tea.
The bamboo house number 2 has two rooms. On the other room is fitting for couples with their two kids as it has a huge bed.
It has no double deck but it has one available matt, foam, blanket, two pillows, and bed sheets for two kids.
The other room can be occupied by 6 people because it has a double deck. The beds are placed with foam covered by bed sheets, two pillows and pillow covers, and blankets. It has one huge foam on the floor with again two pillowcases, foam in a bed sheet, and blanket. Indeed, what a pure Filipino kind of staycation.
It was a good vacation but not great. Why? Let me tell you the good and bad sides.
The Good and Bad Sides
I like the idea that they made the purest bamboo house, clean, and well-furnished. I also like the idea that it is surrounded by bushes. By looking at the picture, we can really say that the resort is rich in fresh air from nature and has a cold climate. However, inside the Bamboo house number one had no garbage bin, means that we need to step down to the ground to throw our messes. They provide us the soaps, shampoo, tissue, heater, coffee, and tea, but they didn't give cups and glasses. They don't also provide free water and it was indeed hassled that we needed to go to the faraway store to buy it. We can say that the resort has a cold weather, but we were struggling the heat at night. They should put an air conditioner inside each room so their guests will not suffer the heated weather in their nap.
When we arrive, the staffs gave us the wooden cart to load our baggage going to the two cottages we booked online. We were girls except for my gay cousin. The staffs were very unhelpful for ignoring my cousin pushing the wooden cart to our cottages.
We really had a bad experience to the shower, toilet, and water. The shower and bathroom were unsanitized. The water flows like a rat's urine when another guest to the separated shower room also uses the shower. In the morning, I was panicking to bath because we were in a hurry to go back home. So, I didn't finish the bathing, rather, continued it in the house. At night, they locked the water's tank to avoid a high water bill. LOL. My mother supposed to pee but she controlled herself because there was no water.
Sadly, the owner's store was closed at 8 pm so we sought a nearby store to buy soft drinks but we found the faraway store and hiked there in midst of the dark night. The lamps have very bad lighting like the owner saves his electric bill. There is no free WIFI means we need to load always to access the outside world. We also struggled washing our dishes to the faucet outside the toilet because they didn't put a kitchen sink and faucet to the house. When we savor our foods at the balcony, there were flies, so we needed to cover all our foods when we all swim.
However, it was still a perfect moment with my family in fairness. We enjoyed takings pictures and playing beside gazebos made by nipa hut. Gazebos are lined along the sea suitable for guests who don't like to spend one night at the resort.
There is also their love dome area suitable for couples who like to date there while watching the skies and sunset.
We enjoyed the outdoor views where playing everything under the sun can be done.
Before swimming, reminders are placed everywhere for our safety.
I enjoyed while being captured photos under the flowers as well as my sister-in-law.
My sister-in-law can't resist relishing the fragrance of hanging flowers at the hallway.
My cousin and I laughed together while sitting down at the stony set of furniture in the lawn.
There is a manmade stone suitable for jumping to the water when the tide is high. It was really fun when we jumped there. However, the tide was low so my cousin was wounded by stone when she drifted to the shallow part.
In the middle of the garden is the wide area to play chess.
The resort is rich in gardens which is not bad. My cousin enjoyed being captured by pictures.
At the sunset, we also enjoyed dancing together and laughing together while taking pictures along with it.
It was still one of the happiest days with my families even in midst of amenity imperfection. If you'd like to unwind the place, don't expect a 5-star amenity and don't spend there for one night. I wouldn't recommend it to the foreign travelers.
