Every Once in a While I Get a Cool Shot
I was hiding in the shade and I noticed the way the sunset was illuminating part of this Geranium flower. It looks like molten gold was splashed on the petals!
My favourite time to take photos is at sunset. If I could drag my ass out of bed, we could most likely include sunrise as well, but I'll probably never find out...
"The Deck"
The reason why I keep putting it in quotations is because the reason I went over to Craig & @MarionBowes' place was to help them get rid of their fern overpopulation problem. It involved a lot of...Deck.
It's just too easy to pass the day away right here. The ocean is in the distance, you can see it through the trees and hear the water lapping. They are away from the highway so it's super quiet on their street...I could just zone out for hours watching the wind rustle the leaves, and the birds at the feeders.
I took the photo of this Bluejay through the deck rails. It's cool how it ended up looking like the edges are in soft focus because of the railings.
The deck from the front yard...
Let's Look Around
Their Prehistoric Hosta
Holding the flower in my hand for perspective. That's one huge Hosta flower!
Well, looks like Craig found the easiest way to deal with the fern population! I better go back to the deck, my seat must be getting lonely without my ars in it.
As the Sun Goes Down
A crow is making his presence known.
Zooming in to look at the cute little fluffy butt :)
@Hendrix22 built this walkway and made that beautiful sailboat design.
The ocean is sparkling so much through the trees, it's almost blinding!
Thank you for joining me on another beautiful day in the Maritimes of Canada. Stay beautiful #Ulog Family and no matter what Keep on STEEMin!
"The deck" looks like a great time.. and your friends have such a cool place! That walkway/sailboat is absolutely beautiful @hendrix22 . Great photos lyndsay :)
Good job helping with the ferns. sic. You always deliver us good pictures. :-)
WOW!!!!!! Do I ever love that place. lol and I love sharing it with a fellow ars sitter who appreciates the fine art of sitting on our ars and listening to the waves and the birds. I think we should do this once a week. Like a spa. Your shots are fantastic ..don't know which one I like the best. Thank you for not posting the pic of me with the big floppy hat and my fern outfit. BTW, the yard does look much better. We just tackle it a bit at a time. xx
HAHA, I couldn't have said it better myself, and see you next week! Early in the week so we can get it completely spiffed for G. Oma's Visit.
ok. sounds like a plan, talk tomorrow as we drop off truck parts.
Love the setting sun effect on the geranium! Just gorgeous! The photo through the railings is also a beautiful shot. I can see why you like this deck so much...I'd be sitting my ars there too!
Thanks so much for visiting us Ceci, sending you bucketloads of LOVE!!!
@lyndsaybowes, You inspiring me lot early morning here with cool & lovely images. Actually see cute flowers early morning, whole day being successful & happiness. I have experience for it. Weather deserve to every walking.
Good morning my friend, and I hope you have a blessed day and stay cool! :)
Beautiful photos as always! I love your garden! And how cool that you have the ocean just right behind the trees!! Lucky girl! :)
I'd been wondering what the pale purple flowers were that I keep seeing around here. I didn't realize that hosta bloom, so it didn't even occur to me that the flowers were part of the same plant!
I'm so behind visiting my fellow #steemitvillagers and I have so many things to say about this post but I am out the door! I'll be back. Ahh flowers such lovely flowers. Say hello to your MIL for me :) Ill get to her I promise!
Wow, that light of the ocean is bright! I love the ancient hosta. It looks like something on a Sims game that you don't expect to be that big until you place it and now you have this giant plant. 😂 I chasm imagine a fern overpopulation problem - here it's difficult to keep them alive, and you sure couldn't do it outside in the Earth. Too dry!
I really need to buy another tripod and start taking photos. I used to love doing that
My wife has a small garden. Some flowers and some veggies, but nothing that looks quite like that!
