The most recent donation from a Bech 32 address was made last May the 26th 2018. I hope you are impressed. Segwit as we have seen so far is not useless after all. Mass adoption is soon to come and all transaction will be cheaper in the Bitcoin network at least. Steem network doesn't know anything about fees and such.
You can verify the details by using Blockchain(.)info as seen from above. The transitory Segwit address which was used by Coin Market Cap is a multi signature wallet of legacy Bitcoin address format.
