I still feel kind of sleepy hahah I slept at 4am Sunday and woke up 6am. It is hard for me to go back to sleep and I don't take naps. So after my coffee I felt better but during the whole day Sunday I was yawning. I tried to sleep earlier than usual but I woke up around 3am and just dozed on and off. So now I feel sleepy.
One good thing this morning was I got featured again on @surpassinggogle's post. https://steemit.com/teardrops/@teardrops/teardrops-token-proof-of-tears-the-curation-a-tear-now-has-value-56
I don't get featured often so it is a thrill when I am. Makes me feel happy that @surpassinggoogle found my article nice.
This is my pet Chabita. I got her for my 50th birthday last 2010 so now she is 8yrs old and approximately my age now (58) in human years. The problem is she gets pregnant almost yearly. We tried to prevent her (an operation is costly) but somehow she does. But thankfully all her puppies were healthy, we have given away so many to boarders and friends.
This picture was taken 3 weeks ago after giving birth and sad to say out of 4 puppies 3 died. On was still born but the other 2 we suspect that the big rats may have gotten them because she hid them downstairs, so only one is left.
I took this picture a while ago. She comes up often to drink. Maybe it is the heat. 2 older dogs died last month because of the heat too. She became skinny, she eats but not much she only has 1 puppy to fee. I was happy we finally have a vet in my town. But When I sent my helper to check what time her office was, ahay she was not in. The secretary said the Dr. went to the city and she was leaving. Chabit had a bath yesterday and she was good. So what I did was to start giving her the vitamin gel I have that is for dogs. Tomorrow I will bring her there if the doctor is there. All my dogs as soon as I get them are taken to the vet for check up and their shots until the complete anti-rabies. Sometimes they get boosters and other shots. They also get yearly anti-rabies shots. They are well cared for.
I am worried because one dog (actually her son) last April was also showing signs of lethargy. But I noticed it too late when he could barely walk, he stays outside most of the time on the balcony.. We did not have the Vet yet and it was a holiday I think. We tried to give him water and milk. He drinks a lot of water but after 2 days he did not make it. The same with the first one we just saw her under the tree and we thought she was sleeping, but we were wrong. Seems like almost every year we have fatalities because of the extreme heat and humidity. We always have water for them and keep them indoors usually on the balcony on the cool tiles.
Those dogs were between 4-6 yrs old. So I am worried because Chabita is already 8yrs old, But she has been the strongest because she got sick a few years ago but bounced back. I have spent so many #teardrops every time one of them dies. It is also a heartache.
I am worried , I do hope the vet will be on duty tomorrow. I think I will send a message on their Facebook page. Maybe she can prescribe some antibiotics or medicines. Maybe even vitamins but what I have I will use until I can get some.
I love dogs, we have had them for such a long time. My first pet was when I was still in school. She was given to us and was with us for 8+ years but she was already 1 /12 years old when given. Then my next pet was a white Maltese/poodle mix I named Lychee. I bought her from my cousin in 1998 after I had my surgery for CA of the Endometrium. I was feeling down but I read having a pet can make you feel better and relaxed. Lychee was with me for 5 years until, well someone killed her and left her in my front steps inside the gate. We thought she was just sleeping because she would always wait for me until we got home from the computer/internet cafe I had in town. We would go home around 11pm and she would be on the steps waiting for me. Jay laughed and tried to wake her and was shock that her neck was broken. I cried for weeks. So many #tears were shed for those dogs. Even now I still get teary-eyed when I remember them.
Chabita is my 3rd pet Candy before her was a miniature Spitz, died because it was my fault, I never knew then that chocolates were bad for dogs. I shared her my chocolates but she lived till 5+yrs old. I cried the longest for her because she would be with me everywhere when I am home , even when I am in the bathroom or showering she is at the door. She slept at the foot of my bed.
I am worried and I am telling everyone to check up on Chabita. I hope I can contact the Vet and bring her to the clinic tomorrow. Thor the dachshund is my 4th pet. I don't want anything to happen to Chabita. Even if she is not as sweet and loving as before , she still comes to me and still is sweet to me.
I took this picture as she was lying in front of my computer table. She does that whenever she comes up to drink water. She spends a few minutes me after drinking, I would rub her head , ears and stomach. After that she would go out to where ever she wants. I would do that to her at least 2 times in the day. If I go outside to the balcony she would jump up the bench and lie down beside me or at then end.
I am kind of stressing out but I am still positive. It is only now that she is showing these signs: frequent drinking of water, eating a little and slightly lethargic. I hope the vet can do something. Chabita is the oldest dog and is the longest one here.
Worried mom for her fur baby here. Asking prayers from other dog lovers especial fur moms. It is also painful to loose a fur baby. #Teardrops and #tears flow so much.
My classmate's daughter drew this I asked permission to use it in some of my blogs. My classmate asked her daughter and she said ok as long as I give the credit to her so I left her name, the one who drew it.
Pictures are mine except the teardrop drawing

Dogs have lived with humans for over 14,000 years. Cats have lived with people for only 7,000 years.
Being featured is great. A nice dog
Dogs or any other domesticated animals is sensitive to weather and the loving care of their masters too, especially when they are getting old. And Congrats!

Get well soon to your fur baby maam, hoping that the vet was already there tomorrow for you to stop being worried about her condition.
Chabita is such a cute name for a dog.I think she was chubby when she was younger.
Wow congratulations for being featured maam @purpledaisy57!
Very nice dog.
Whatever the Lord's plan is, pray for strength and acceptance. What's important is the attention and care that you provide. There is nothing else to do than pray. Such is life. We must learn to accept things as they are because nothing lasts forever.
She looks lovely pet. I like this pic...
Hi there! I'm a fur parent as well and currently have 5 dogs at home. I can feel your pain when you lost your maltese, also your worries for chabita. I used to bring my dogs to the vet whenever I noticed any unuasual to them, however for some instance that vets are not around to check them up, it is very important that we have home remedies ready at home. Since chabita frequently drink water you can add dextrose powder or mondex to keep her hydrated. It can be bought from any poultry supply store. If she has upset stomach you can give her fresh blend turmeric with sugar or honey. In regards to antibiotic you can order Colloidal Nano Silver, it's a natural antibiotic that you can give to your dog, very gentle and proven effective. I was able to save 2 dogs from Parvo virus just this year through the help of Colloidal Nano Silver. It is also a great immune booster. You can search Colloidal Nano Silver on facebook to order and testimonies.
Praying for chabita's wellness.
