As a mentioned in my previous ulog last week, every Wednesday is day for the study of God's Words. Now, we started with Design for Discipleship 1 - Your Life in Christ. DFD 1 shows what it means to accept God's love for you. Keep Christ at the center of your life, and learn to live in the power of the Spirit.
So we started with Chapter One God Cares for You. In this chapter we will investigate four statements of God's concern for us:
- God created you.
- God knows you.
- God loves you.
- God made you part of his family.
For the span of two hours, we tackle number one - God created you.
Genesis chapter 1 tells us the fact the God created the universe of out nothing. He created the world by his word (Hebrews 11:3) and created everything for his own purpose and his glory. (Revelation 4:11).
He gave us dignity by shaping us after his own likeness. (Genesis 1:27). We are unique from all his creations because we are made in his image and given us the authority to rule over his creations. (Genesis 1:28).
My friends, since we have given the position to be a steward for His creation we must partake the purpose God has given us. Let's do good things to all his creation (his people and the earth) and bring glory to his name.
