Bangka Island has a beautiful beach and charming, not inferior to the beach on the island of Bali. The beach is sloping and white sand. What is interesting is the expanse of granite rocks along the coastline as well as the beaches of Belitung Island. Large granite rocks that appear to the surface of the earth due to pressure from the earth (endogenous) millions of years ago.
The first beach we visited was Golden Rat Beach. This beach is not far from Puri Tri Agung that we visited earlier. The name of the mouse on the beach does not mean many rats there, but the beach is used as a mouse path for illegal miners to sell tin to Singapore by sea. Rat Beach faces east of Bangka Island and close to Batam Island and Singapore.
Bangka Island is a high quality tin-producing island. Officially tin mining is done by PT Timah BNUMN, but since the reform era the community has been mining the tin by itself or in groups. The tin is sold to collectors or sold illegally to neighboring Singapore. They transport illegal tin through this Rat Coast.
Gold Rat Beach is part of the Rat Coast run by private parties and to get in there we have to pay, but the facilities to play and beaches are sloping and lush with pine trees suitable for gathering or just a walk on the beach.
