Earlier today, an earthquake struck Osaka which affected nearby places like Kyoto, Hyogo and Nara. I didn't know about it at first, but Yui (who is now in Japan.. glad you got there safely yesterday!) and another friend told me about it.
Above is a screenshot of the message I got from Yui. She knows that I have a close friend who is living and working in Osaka, so she was asking me about it. She also sent me some pictures of her relatives' place which is affected by the earthquake. Luckily, her relatives and family are all okay.
This one is a screenshot of my friend's message from Tokyo. I told her that I sent a message to my friends who are from the affected places. So far, I messaged 5 friends. Two of them are from Osaka, two from Hyogo and one from Kyoto.
Four out of five friends already sent me their reply. I'm glad to know that they're all okay. However, my very close friend hasn't sent me a message yet. So I'm waiting for his reply. I hope he's okay and that he'll send me a message soon. I'm quite worried about him because the share house he's staying at is quite old. Please be safe, Jintan!!! (Or maybe.. he's just fast asleep since he worked last night.. lol)
So far, there are 3 reported deaths and a number of injuries in Kansai area. One man and a little girl died because they were trapped in collapsed walls and another old man died because a bookshelf fell on him. Aftershocks are expected to occur. So, my friends and other people from Kansai, please stay safe.
