Last Sunday, we went to my mother -in-law's house to stay one night in a reason that I will renew my passport in Paris by the following day. Were almost arrived maybe 8-10minutes, around 11:45 am but when we turn left, a guy tried to insert or overtake in the right way which is prohibited. We passed first and he followed us, but unfortunately, he hit the left front of our car and drives so fast. We were shocked at first, but my husband followed him immediately to get the plate number and I took the video and photo quickly. That moment was unforgettable, we had our sons at the backseats when the incident happened but thanks God were all safe!
As we arrived at my mother-in-law's house, my husband reported to the police immediately about the incident. The guy who uses the company car had already a record and he will wait for the report to pay the damages through his insurance. An additional offense for him for escaping instead of making an arrangement about the incident because it was his fault. When he saw our plate number we are from the North and he is Parisian, but he didn't know the place of incident was the birthplace of my husband and he knew the road. I'm not a perfect person, but that time I wish he will be fired by his job by using the company car during Sunday. Ok, the car was already damaged but we thank God for our safety, at least it was along the city proper, with a low-speed limit.
The police said we can still use the car and if ever the police will notice something wrong we just need to show some papers. We've been in the Paris area or close to Paris several times but this was our first accident. I felt worried about our kids, at least they were sleeping at that moment. I'm glad my husband followed the guy immediately thinking about the plate number or else we are the one who will pay the damages through our car's insurance.
For now, we are waiting for our schedule to fix the car and I hope that guy who did this will learn his lesson if he has a conscience. I really saw his face. I don't want to judge anymore. The important is we are all safe, that's all matter.
