The United Nations Security Council has listed 27 ships, 21 ship companies and one person blacklisted. This disciplinary action has been taken to help North Korea in disrupting UN sanctions. This step has been taken to prevent significant smuggling of oil and coal. Last month, the United States had proposed to the United Nations to take such steps to prevent North Korean smuggling. As a result of this move of the United Nations, the oil tanker and cargo ships will be banned from all ports of the world and the assets of the companies will be seized. This is the biggest disciplinary action taken by the United Nations against Pyongyang.

Already, various countries and nations in the world have imposed various restrictions on North Korea with nuclear programs and missile tests.

US permanent representative Nikki Halley said in the United Nations that the recent international move by the international community is a clear evidence of its actions. The international community is trying to enforce pressure on North Korea.Since 2006, North Korea has been facing international sanctions, including oil import and export of various commodities.

Diplomats believe that the continuing pressure of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's to stop nuclear testing and missile tests is important.
