ABSTRACT
This article seeks analyze in a comparative way the books "Subliminal: How the unconscious influences our lives" Leonard Mlodinow author and "Fast and slow: Two ways of thinking" Daniel Kahneman author.
With the objective to analyze comparatively the convergent, divergent and complementary points between these two works.
The idea about the unconscious approached by physical-scientific analysis, using supporting and highly technological means of Mlodinow, compared with an economic approach combined with psychology by Kahneman.
The study of these works identified as our mental mechanisms, conscious and unconscious, complete and aid in decision-making and error mitigation.
ANALYSIS
Neuroscience analysis has been studied in a profound way by researchers, scientists and psychologists. A universe of situations and actions happen every day, and not always or most of the time we can realize and aware of it.
The comparison between the views, as well as theses and assumptions made by the authors show that our unconscious is a tool capable of performing extraordinary feats, and do every day without us noticing it.
Many of the tests are interactive with the reader and confessed that I was surprised with the results of some of them. Especially those related to optical illusion and blind spots.
My conclusion of this article is that this new conception of psychology and neuroscience, explored in both books, assumes that the vast unconscious now redefined, suggests and guides actions to our daily and professional life.
Although both works have fixed my attention, I confess that scientific experiments Mlodinow made me appreciate the psychology and neuroscience in a totally different way of my life experience.
I was very surprised with the way we create stereotypes, and they are available in society and not even realize it. As they suggest patterns that can often lead us to commit errors of judgment and decision making.
The Works are very interesting, is the psychological aspect Economico Kahneman, or psychological Physical scientific of Mlodinow, they show our roots automatic thought and subliminal verses an analytical and lazy thinking.
Surely before reading the books, I had an assumption that owned my choices. At this time I have a very different reflection about myself and the people around me.
Finally, I understand that my journey by the unconscious is just beginning, because there is much more to understand and research regarding this topic. As we know what influences our intuition and how it affects our decisions, we can improve our risk identification so decisions at work and in our family, and predict what will make us, or rather tend to make us happy in future.
