I have accepted a mission: to explore strange new blogs, to seek out new posts and new minnows, to boldly go where no Steemian has gone before! yes, I'm a geek...
The Mission
I will be trawling through this very platform hunting out those hidden gems, the undiscovered countries of newly arrived promising authors, freshly spawned minnows if you like. I wish to put a spotlight on those I think are deserving of a much wider audience.
@kate-m is a recent arrival to Steemit and she was spotted and suggested by @cryptologyx
GMuxx, just stubbed my toe on a lovely Gem in my feed and thought I'd send it your way...
@kate-m's introduction post is fantastically well written and has great photographs of her time spent in Brazil seeking out wild food and the agroecology scene there.
Next up I have chosen to feature @steemitadventure, another newcomer.

He is a wonderfully gifted artist and has been a joy to get to know in chat at PALnet. Definitely worth a follow.
I do enjoy being taken on virtual journeys to exotic destinations and @fronttowardenemy's post did just that.
In this post he describes day 10 of a road trip through Vietnam on his trusty scooter. Very descriptive with photographs and helmet cam footage decorating his post.
@liberty-minded takes us on a fishing trip in Jacksonville next, hunting for flounder.
His magnificent photos are the focus of the post, interrupted only with commentary of the day's events.

A recently born Steemian who shows great promise with this well written piece dispelling the myth that we all should be perfect. He sums it up perfectly with this following quote:

This is a good idea what you are doing @gmuxx. It is really hard sometimes to find good, fresh content. There are definitely new gems to be discovered as new people join Steemit every day, but eventually with determination from their part, they will get noticed. Keep up the good work you do too!
