So you have been laid off, in between jobs or whatever your situation might be and you are currently in the job market. How has it been going? Does it feel like there are not enough jobs for everyone that is looking? The other side to this is that even when you do apply the means the recruiters are using these days are all search engines and some form of an algorithm... Gone are the days where people could go and present themselves in person, now some machine will decide if your CV has the correct formatting, key words etc. before being eligible for an interview which could turn out to be one of 3! Granted recruiters and HR personnel get 100's if not 1000's off applications for every post but surely there must be a better way. I hope somehow we can go back to the more human way of employing people as in these times it seems like a lottery.
