Well it's not the tomorrow I was looking for when I wrote part 1 but since any day after any yesterday is a tomorrow I suppose it will do fine.
NALF (Naval Auxiliary Landing Field) Monterey was other than Moffett field that still handled blimp landings. They were facilitated with the help of a ground crew that caught the lines dropped from the gondola and holding the lighter than air craft steady until it could be attached to the mast, which was basically a very tall flagpole.
