RE: For all my new followers; an update to help you follow along on what I'm sharing in my blog

in #ungrip7 years ago

I'm trying to connect with people who seem to really care about this platform, so I can learn more about it and how best to use it to share my art & inspiration and encourage others too. Steemit really feels like a community more than just a "social network", the format lends itself to really connecting with people, and I'm having an awesome time here so far! Followed you :)

Actually you have been here longer than I have. ;) Either way, welcome to my blog and I hope you enjoy it. I look forward to the exchange of ideas as it seems we both live north of the 49th. I will share what I can. Peace to you.

My first few months I wasn't "getting"it and I stopped posting for quite a while. Not long before New Years I decided to give it another shot, found some good advice and used it and here we are! At first seeing lots of bots and people posting "follow me I'll follow you" etc... had me thinking that was the proper etiquette on here, glad to have learned otherwise, and to be finding lots of Canadians on here too! lol I'm still learning new things every day, haven't jumped into any Discords or communities yet, I think learning the the new software interface(s) for where everything is, is the toughest part for me at first lol

Indeed. There are lots of people who have not figured out the protocol for talking to others in an arena founded on anarchy. This demands that each individual rise above the default protocols and approach one another with respect, honour and dignity. I think it is wonderful and it really points to those who don't follow protocol as it becomes glaringly obvious and almost insulting. I'm glad that you sorted it out and are making a go of it. I'm on steemit.chat if you ever want to private chat. Peace to you.
