Decolonizing Our Lives - Spiritual Stewardship Circle Retreat

in #ungrip6 years ago (edited)

The call has gone out to the Rainbow Tribes of the world; heal and unite!  The Tawatinaw Initiative for Peace and Independence (TIPI) is a group of local leaders joining together in peace and freedom to answer the call.  On July 20 – 22, 2018 we invite you to join us in a one of a kind weekend retreat to start the process of healing, reconciliation and decolonization.  The Decolonizing our Lives - Spiritual Stewardship Circle Retreat is an intense, 2 1/2 day experience where we provide a safe environment for people to share their stories of colonization, explore their roles in life, connect with other tribes and where we can start making our own stories, ceremonies and experiences to bridge the gaps between us all in order to heal and unite.

This retreat is located off grid at the homes of Natalie Pepin (@harvardhomestead) who lives on the east side of the Tawatinaw Valley and White Walking Feather (@wwf) who lives with his wife (@carey-page) on the west side of the same valley near Perryvale Alberta, northern border of Treaty 6 territory.  We invite the ladies to start their journey at Natalie’s domain and the men will join White Walking Feather on his.  Towards the end of the retreat, the two groups will then come together in peace, honour and respect as we work through the protocols and ceremonies we can use to bring these ideas into the world.

Join us for healing, story telling, sharing, caring, protocol and decolonization ceremonies to help bring the tribes together in peace, freedom, prosperity and independence as we work to unlearn the harmful ways of our current society and bring in the new!

I will be posting the details on the @tipi-steward blog while @harvardhomestead is posting details on Facebook.  If you want to book your spot today, just follow this link.

About the group

TIPI (@tipi-steward) is a group of local leaders dedicated to helping others with the decolonization process.  We are putting together a comprehensive curriculum to help facilitate that process so that people can find the support, knowledge and experience to UNGRIP from the colonial systems and return to the land.  The Spiritual Stewardship Circle retreat is an introductory offering to help people start the core healing in preparation for the work ahead.  Over time, TIPI will either develop or vet existing courses offered by others in order to build a curriculum that will support the journey towards healing and skill building with confidence.  Being mentored by elders or other tribe members who have the extensive experience and knowledge in all the different areas required, will help the individual to put it all together so that they too can pass on their knowledge and build tribes of their own while they heal their relationship with Mother Earth.

We are just kicking off this idea and this retreat is our first offering.  If this resonates with you, then I welcome you to join us next month on a weekend journey of story telling, healing and connecting with each other and Mother Earth as we work on the decolonization process.

For those of us who do not have the means to attend, is there any chance videos or audios will be made? And I am definitely going to want that curriculum ASAP.

This is not something that you can 'get' by watching a video. This requires being fully submersed in the experience so that people can connect to Mother Earth and have spirit move through them. There will be no videos being taken as we are working hard to create a sacred space for sharing, healing and bonding. I have no doubt that the first wave of people attending will comprehend what we are teaching and will then start the work for themselves so that these ideas can spread across the planet.

Well I understand that.

This is really exciting stuff. I look forward to hearing more about how it goes and what magic comes out of it. Thanks for being willing to help guide people through this process.

I'll have more info tomorrow as we are having another planning meeting this weekend. Thank you for your interest in our work. Peace to you.

I look forward to hearing more about it even though it's too far for me to journey physically at this time.

it is so nice post of the day.
