the Egyptian museum in Cairo  contains the world's most  extensive collection of pharaonic antiquities. We should say that it was built by August Marriot the french Egyptologist in the year 1902. Inside the museum we have 150,ooo pieces ....as it was said that if you are going to spend one minute in front of each piece you are going to spend 9 months to see every piece.

In the middle of the garden there is a pool in which you can see papyrus plant symbol of the northern kingdom and the lotus flower the symbol of the southern kingdom and from which they used to make perfume.

All the monuments in the garden date back to the new kingdom about 3500 years old. At the back of the garden we can see the sarcophagus of August Marriot the founder of the Egyptian museum.

If we look on the entrance on both sides , we have the two statues of goddess ISIS the goddess of love and music in the pharaonic era . She was depicted wearing a  Greco-Roman dress.
