A while ago, i made a post about how making a mistake won a man a Nobel price you can see the post here .
But today, i will be making a post on how a mistake has been able to give birth to one of the world best selling meals.
A lot of us may be familiar with this slogan; "THE BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS". Yes, i am talking about the famous WHEATIES meal.
A cook was preparing some bran gruel in 1922 when some of it spilled on a hot stove top by mistake. The gruel drops sizzled and crackled into a flake. I am sure the burnt piece must have looked appetizing coz the cook actually took a taste of it and voila, a new meal was born.
Some people may say something like "men that is disgusting" or "that is way unprofessional for a cook to pick up burnt stuff from the stove top and worst still put it in his/her mouth" but who knows, if the cook didn't eat that piece, there might have been nothing like WHEATIES today. That little untalented act of the cook actually gave birth to one of the worlds best selling meals.
