This is very exciting. My kids were both in entertainment and one of them was into making independent films. I remember going to a premier at a local (art) theater, years ago. It is an all-absorbing effort and quite expensive, as I recall.
I'm looking forward to seeing the final film. There is no way I could ever go to Mexico 😄. Significant travel is basically over for me, so I hope the movie appears in a forum I can watch locally.
