Elephantidae is een familie van olifanten en mammoeten, een groot landzoogdier met slurf en ivoor

De meeste geslachten en soorten van deze familie zijn uitgestorven. Slechts twee levende geslachten zijn Loxodonta en Elephas.

Ze werden vroeger gebruikt voor oorlog; nu worden olifanten vaak getoond in dierentuinen en circussen.
