I Think As Long As You're A Minnow You Can Upvote Yourself Because Say You Have $0.01 Upvote And You Upvote Yourself 10 Times A Day For A Month :
$0.01 * 10 * 30=$3
So $3 Dollars In A Month Wouldn't Affect The Rewards Pool That Much But If You're A Whale You Should Definetly Help The Community And Upvote Others :)

I've put way more into steem than I've taken out. I powered up with 1k off the bat when it was in the $2.50 range. Why? Because I want to reward and read good content. It saves me time and maybe someday my posts will reward me. It makes social media more fun, and I see the enormous growth potential.
Yes, it's mildly lucrative to like your own comments, but that only drains the system..

It seems that was a time a few of us kept the community strong for what we envisioned it to become.
And then the recent influx of "follow me" "upvote your self" and endless spam, not to mention the porn, came to Steemit and catches us by surprise.
I have to wonder what the marketing department is doing?

At least make your comments worth voting for if you want to vote for them... don't make your comment an excuse to get a free upvote.
I usually upvote other people's post , my aim is to always give to the community so i don't upvote my own post , instead i will upvote interesting contents and comments, though i don't have a lot of steem power yet , thanks for sharing , upvoted and follow

Correct. I have seen posts that only have one comment over and over get voted by the original poster (their own comment) until their voting power is exausted.

@henry-gant so basically you can use your voting power how you want and nobody is controlling it?
Some things are frowned upon . . . like abusing the self voting power. I mean one vote for your post is acceptable. But, It used to be I've seen people upvote each time they comment. Some whales get up over a dollar a comment.

The reason why Steemit will fail: Takers. / No investors' adding value to the community either thru content (investment of time) or investing in Steem and Steem dollars.
Is Steemit only attracting takers?
If we upvote ourselves and our own comments, we may just as well hear the words. "Iceberg, dead ahead!"
With out investment; Steemit will sink, it is a mathematical certainty.

I'm new here, but this doesn't seem like a good thing to be doing. Encouraging exploitation. Steemit seems to be a beautiful way to encourage content production, leeching from the system should be discouraged!

Upvoting your own comments on steemit can make you money but it ensures that you are on the first comment place. That way you get more views and earn more money because more people see it and will like.

I like to put my comment because it will move it to the top of the comments sections. Google analytics show that people will stop reading comments after about six or seven.
What do you think about having unique and qualified comments on the social media platform. Or is up voting better?

Upvoting your posts is fine, but your comments is a big no-no, unless you really want your comment on top or you are participating in any contest. By upvoting your own comments, you drain a big share of reward pool to yourself, which should have been ideally distributed to others. Please refrain from giving such tutorials, as in the end it will only lead to reward pool decreasing and you getting only lower and lower payouts.
