Heat and the sun are no good friends of your e-liquids and vape stuff.
Summertime! The time of the year in which everything happens outside. As Belgians, we are not all equipped with a Vespa, a super handy means of transport, which Italians mainly use to move on hot days. Unfortunately, we usually have to grab the car to move us to some BBQ or summer party.
Never leave your e-liquid bottles or tanks in direct sunlight or in a hot vehicle. Temperatures in a closed car or can rise to 60 ° C, even when your car is parked in the sun at outdoor temperatures "only" 20 ° C.
We are not going to explain the technical side here and explain in detail how VG can begin to break down at high temperatures and is so fussy for the quality of your e-liquid. Or how PG becomes unstable when exposed to direct sunlight and thus loses its taste. But with this you know that too.
The most important thing to know is that when your liquids are exposed to high temperatures, they become a lot of fluid.
The liquid in your tank then finds a way out easily through your wicking. A leaking tank is not pleasant for your dashboard, seats and of course for yourself.
The same goes for your batteries. Electronic cigarettes all contain lithium ion batteries. When exposed to high temperatures, the cell can be damaged. The battery will hold less of its load. If you have left your vapor in the sun or in a hot vehicle, do not be surprised that your batteries are sooner empty than before.
If lithium ion batteries get really hot - at temperatures above 50 ° C. Can they "go thermally". That means they can break and explode.
Do not let your vape material in the car. Take it along or put it in a plastic bag in a refrigerator if you have it at hand. If you have absolutely no other options then the glove box is the best alternative.
