We have been brainwashed for decades about the claimed harmful effects of radiation. Even though the US government has for decades used propaganda to instill in all citizens that all radiation is harmful, the facts tell a different story.
We all know that sunlight is beneficial in limited doses but harmful if overdone. We also know that radiation is used to reduce or even cure cancer in our bodies.
