Lamborghini Urus

It's interesting to think where cars will end up, supercar manufacturers have created the SSUV, Lambo first released their first SUV, or Off-roader back in the late 1980's the V12 Countach engine powered beast, the LM002.

Yesterday saw the SSUV become a major part of Lamborghinis future with the introduction of the Urus, named after a breed of Bull, V8 twin turbo with 8 speed box, and 4 wheel drive, read the full story at https://www.planetauto.co.uk

Interesting SUV using the best bits from the group. Using the Bentley/Audi 4.0l V8 engine for reliability and 22mpg fuel consumption. (even if it runs on 4 cylinders producing only 179bhp at under 3000 rpm). The VW MIL base used on several SUVs for ease of manufacture. Rear wheel steering and lots of gadgets built in to make this a top spec car. Will anyone now buy a Bentley Bentayga?

We were wondering the same thing, it certainly performs with that powertrain and a first for Lamborghini using twin turbo, glad it utilises both manufacturers know how, it makes it very desirable for people wanting looks and reliability.

I laugh at the fact that auto Manufacturers make faster, souped up beasts of art and yet here in little old Australia, the fastest road speed limit is 100km/h (110km/h if your lucky). And these SSUV's are going to go like hotcakes by Yummy Mummies who will drive them no faster than 50km/h around our BIG major cities (Sydney)! Sad but a true reality here Down Under.

That's the thing, limits are in place, yet not everybody sticks to them. The Chelsea tractor as its dubbed will always be popular.
