how to install apps on linux/ubuntu

  • Open the terminal, then login as root, and go directly to the directory where you saved the setup of the software you want to install by typing "cd directory name Here I save my setup software in the Downloads directory So I typed" cd Downloads ", Then press enter on the keyboard here can also check the contents of the directory by typing" ls "and press enter.

  • Enter command "dpkg -i namafilesetup.deb". here i will install google chrome software, so i type "dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb"

  • The installation process will run and wait until the process is complete, as in the picture below.

Note: on some linux types, such as ubuntu can actually install software without going through the terminal. the way is almost the same on windows, but not everything like that.
