Its not everyday one gets to be a part of something great. Steem, steemit, busy.org, utopian.io, steemitstage.com, all these where not something that existed, at least in the minds of Africans a year ago. Indeed the whole steemit platform came into existence only 1 year and a few months ago. Funny really.
The word ''Africa'' gets thrown around a lot for things that simply aren't real, or for things that are now past. Case in point, Africans are known for scams, poverty, corruption, and while some form of these still exist,its not as bad as many might see it.
How do I contribute to an open source project?
I am,on my own part, going out to get Africans to steemit! and using the socials that many other Africans seem to love so much. I go by the principle that everyone on earth should have a chance and a shot at restructuring their lives for the better.
I see no other way than using steemit to make this a reality.
Since steem is the currency that akes all this possible, I guess it is the open source project that I will be supporting and bringing to the forefront today.
I am trying to go through the route of visibility. Why? Because that is all I can do at this point on utopian.io. I am on-boarding those who I mentor, as well as new comers by teaching them what and what can be achieved with this platform.
I am not a developer, but I do hope that African developers and programmers can come in and make a name for themselves here.
I am promoting this on my twitter and facebook page, as well as all my followers doing same, so this and all my previous and future votes should be getting such visibility as well.

Its simply not about bringing people only though, its about on-boarding them with the mindset for value creating, teaching them about the life changing properties of blockchain tech and onboarding those ready to utilize crytocurrency to better themselves and their communities.
It may be funny though, and it may not even happen with the current system of cryptocurrency, but I believe Africa can become a form of crypto tech land, where forms of government spring up around cryptos and blockchain technology.
That is what I am fighting for ! But you say again how? Well this might be a rough sketch, but ill try to outline the plans which the team here at africaunchained have been planning up.
First steps first is to on-board as many enlightened individuals as possible this ensures that more and more Africans are able to understand and use the blockchain.
The second step is to put in place facilities which run without the need for government interaction. In essence, i am talking about a decentralized system, running on the physical realm! Like a center for enlightenment, or any of the hidden plans we prefer not to reveal for now! :D
I have a dream, and that dream has always been to have;
- Nigerians with the highest number of whales on steemit
- Africans with the highest number of high valued content creators on the entire BLOCKCHAIN!
Thank you.
