You mean this sir ? Sorry for my bad drawing. . In illustrator , I used the rounded rectangle for board and cut it with 2 rectangles..
I used also rounded rectangle to form a brush handle and pen tool for brush head.
For the colors. I search an image color palettes with diff colors and put it on layer as you can see on my screenshot. And used eyedropper tool to copy each colors on each box on the design.
