ChatSecure is a open source chatting apps for IOS which allows OMEMO or OTR and XMPP protocol. ChatSecure created by The Guardian Project in 2011 and was the first IOS apps to support OTR messaging, can use the similarity of Facebook, Google Hangout, Gukgo, Jabber and more chatting apps. Currently still being developed for other apps, ChatSecure sends chat data using an existing path like Google Hangout path. When messaging and images are sent with ChatSecure, then messages can only be opened from the ChatSecure app.

Proposal

I Suggest the ChatSecure app to add the "Hidden Message" feature as a complementary feature to make the message safer. Hidden Message take place in a separate 1 to 1 chat room from regular chat. Text and image chat are sent in a secure state, and after the receiver taps on the message, the contents will be reserved for a preset amount of time. After that time limit is exceeded, the message will be deleted automatically, and after the recipient has finished viewing the message, it will be deleted from the chat room.

Benefits

The Benefit of adding the "Hidden Message" feature in the ChatSecure app is to provide additional security features for users to be more secure in sending messages using the ChatSecure app. Hidden Message can take place in a separate 1 to 1 chat room from regular chats. Text messages are sent in a secure state, and after the receiver taps on the message, the messages will be reserved for a preset amount of time.
After that time limit is exceeded, the message will be deleted automatically, and after the recipient has finished viewing the message, it will be deleted from chat room, all unopened messages are automatically deleted from ChatSecure servers after a short term period. This feature is perfect for sending messages containing sensitive information that user want the recipient to see.
