Project Details
This project is for the localization of the GDevelop website. Although this is my first time to participate in this project, I am familiar with it as I have submitted 4 contributions and translated a total of 5013 words to Filipino for the GDevelop app.
GDevelop is a software where any kind of game - puzzles, platformers, shoot 'em up, or strategy - can be created. It's goal is to empower everyone, even the ones without any programming or coding skills, to create the games they have envisioned. With this goal in mind, GDevelop has kept their website (and the app) as simple as can be. It is packed with tutorials that are easy to follow. They provide generous amount of explanation in their manual, which are usually accompanied with visual aides and screenshots.
I admitted in my previous contributions for the app that translating its strings was a bit of a challenge. The strings on this project for the web are no different. I spent a lot of time going through their wiki pages for reference on how to correctly translate certain terms. In every translated string, the goal is 100% accuracy and it took some time for me to get satisfied with my work. The screenshot below will show you that I started working on this project on the 27th of November. Between then and today, the 2nd of December, I translated 1115 words to Filipino.

To conform with GDevelop's translation guidelines, I left the following words untranslated. They are either technical terms, Proper names for a website/software/app, or words that have a special use in the website.
