Project Details
Simply put, GDevelop is a user-friendly platform that can be used by everyone to create a game. It was designed in a way that "no programming skills are required" from game creators. Creativity is encouraged in the platform through their tools where any kind of game can be created - from puzzles, shoot 'em ups, to 8 bit games.
This is my first time to contribute to the localization of this project, and so I took the liberty to navigate through their website and find out more about GDevelop. I have gone through their list of games that were created through their platform and I must say that the games are easy to follow with simplicity that can be enjoyed. It's the concept behind those games that will blow you away. I am happy to have the chance to contribute to it in my own little way.
Contribution Specification
As could be seen in the screenshot below, I started working on the strings on the 14th of November and finished today, the 15th of November, with 1245 words translated to Filipino. Those 1245 words were translated to 1492 Filipino words. In my experience, it takes more Filipino words to express a thought, which explains the number difference.
GDevelop has provided a translation guideline, which I accessed here. It proved to be useful as I was able to read up on the technical terms used when creating a game in the platform.
Aside from codes and commands, there aren't a lot of words that should not be translated. Below is a list of other words that I did not translate to Filipino, and as you can see, they are very few.
- Wav
- Ogg
- Cell
- Tile
- String
- Offset
While the image below will show you some of the translated strings I worked on. This is a screenshot from my Crowdin Activity Page, which can be accessed here

Once again, I leave a note of gratitude to @utopian-io and @davinci.witness for giving me the opportunity to be part of the Filipino Translation Team. Hi @dandalion, Thank you for contributing to the Davinci-Utopian Translation project!
This is your 6th contribution to the translation category and 1st contribution to the translation of @Gdevelop project.
hint you can re-arrange the sentence to get an accurate translation in filipino. Best example is this string, you can simply re-arrange it as
Offset of Image X
which can be translated asOffset ng Imahe na X
